Neil Stevenson decided he wanted to be a cabinet maker while still at school, and having borrowed Ł1,000 from his father he set up a workshop in the garage of the family home.

It was after cutting his teeth with several companies, including one that sent him to Indonesia where he oversaw the making of furniture for export to the UK, that Neil decided self-employment was the way forward.

After moving to Rugby, Warwickshire, he began visiting interior designers and architects in London. The quality and craftsmanship of Neil’s work turned the initial trickle of orders into a number of larger contracts – and he has never looked back.

Neil is now the company managing director and a leading figure in the industry.
He is involved in Furniture West Midlands, is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers, Director of the Furniture, Furnishings, Interiors National Training Organisation (FFINTO), and Chair of Training and Education for Furniture West Midlands.
