As you may recall from our October e-newsletter, the Royal Warrant Holders Association invited us to attend the inaugural Christmas Trade Fair hosted in December by Her Majesty the Queen at Buckingham Palace. To make the most of our attendance we ran a competition called ‘Hunt the Corgi’, where members of the Royal Household were invited to guess which one of the Palace’s rooms, one of the Queen’s corgis was hiding. This amusing treasure hunt generated charitable donations totalling £300 that were split between two worthwhile causes, Shelter and QEST (The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust). The monies will partly help support those less fortunate than ourselves at this time of year, and will also contribute to those craftsmen and women who can help epitomise everything that is great about British manufacturing. To better understand the work of these two charities click here; www.shelter.org.uk and www.qest.org.uk. We would especially like to thank Mr Bill Gunn, Director of Pol Roger Ltd who contributed a magnificent bottle of their finest champagne for the lucky winner www.polroger.co.uk.
