Training is Paramount in Today's Highly Competitive Workplace

The Wildlife TrustsWe have always believed that training can, and does, deliver benefits for the individual, the firm and the wider community. Improved personal knowledge develops an individuals self esteem, greater skills foster better and more efficient ways of working, personal enthusiasm drives determination in others and of course the UK's economy (manufacturing in this case) is better equipped to tackle the challenges within the wider economy, both at home and abroad. So it will come as no surprise that here at NEJ Stevenson we have now signed up to 'profile', an online data resource that acts to support and administer the learning process.

'profile' serves multi-layers of operation. It supports the user organisation by providing a database of national occupational standards which can be selected as identified training needs, password protected it can be accessed by the individual, and team leaders to agree personal objectives. It will simplify the process to produce a skills development plan, review personal achievement records, and assign forward training. Should a requirement for skills training exist outside of the comprehensive list of standards, customised job training, identified by the employer/employee can be included within the development plan and for security team leaders can 'lock' levels and agree target dates for completion. 'profile' is a truly useful skills needs analysis tool which is available to all companies and will become valuable in assisting NEJ Stevenson with training delivery.
