Neil was recently approached by the Guild of Master Craftsmen to contribute a story for the forthcoming edition of their specialist magazine, Furniture & cabinetmaking. The editor proposed that Neil would talk candidly about his progression from leaving school and gaining his first commercial experiences (one of which almost had disastrous consequences in Indonesia), to the position he occupies now, some 27 years after starting his own business.
Neil tells us of his progression, the support he has had from his family; his dad in particular lent him the use of his garage in January 1984 and gave him £1,000 to purchase several pieces of machinery, his early commissions and what he learnt when things went wrong, his first exposure of installations and many other things besides.
The October printed edition will be available from most newsagents from 9th September.
