The personal development of the Company's workforce has long been central to its progression, and the support from one of its partners, Proskills has been of great value, enabling the Company to become a real benefactor of their services. However, NEJ Stevenson is not just on the receiving end because Proskills provides organisations like ours with the opportunity to contribute to the overall process, making those industries supported by Proskills a real career choice for many people. With this in mind NEJ Stevenson recently committed by signing the Skills Pledge, a scheme initially devised in 2007 by the UK's government that would aim to improve the UK's competitive position in the global marketplace, by increasing productivity through better training. This association helps us underpin many of our six strategic goals, but in particular the goal of;-

'Preferred Employer: To recruit, retain, develop and motivate the highest calibre of people.'

Proskills are sending a film crew out to us in early September to interview our staff and management team about the benefits obtained through from the Skills Pledge. Once completed, the DVD will be made available for us to publish on our website. As soon as it becomes available we'll let you know.
