We're proud to help worthwhile causes wherever we can, and one such scheme that we are firmly behind is the Macmillan Coffee Morning, which is held annually to raise funds for supporting those people diagnosed with cancer.
On the 24th September 2010 Macmillan ran its 19th annual coffee morning and N.E.J. Stevenson were once again delighted to help. We received cash donations from local business partners and gifts which we used for a raffle, besides plenty of cake made by our team members, family and friends. Incredibly this event marks its 20th anniversary next year, and we are already looking forward to helping once more. We wish them every success in reaching their target goal of £8m.
If you are not already a part of this incredible scheme and want to find out more, you can help Macmillan by visiting their website for further details; http://coffee.macmillan.org.uk/
On a more local level we were approached by our local village church, St. Peter's, Church Lawford, to help raise funds through their Flower Festival we were only too pleased to help. Although none of us are flower arrangers we were able to call on the talents of Neil's family. Neil's Mum, Doreen and three of her friends, Gill Bowers, Marion Abernethy and Kay Aird all gave up some of their time to produce a wonderful arrangement for which we were very grateful. Thank you ladies!
