David like the majority of the management team, started as a cabinetmaker and it is his love of his craft that influences the design team that he controls and the contracts that he runs.
Having established a reputation for his consistently high standard of work in furniture making during his first spell with the company, David left to pursue a degree in 'Three Dimensional Industrial Furniture Design'. Following graduation, David designed and developed high-volume furniture products for several large companies this in turn also enhanced his management skills.
The expansion in N E J Stevenson Ltd coincided with a desire by David to return to true furniture design and making. Originally joining Neil as a designer, David was appointed a director of the company in April 2005.
