Reporting to: The Production Director
N.E.J. Stevenson Limited is proud of its reputation for continually delivering the highest standards, on time - processes that are underpinned by the quality of everything that the company does. We are now recruiting for a Machinist.
The machinist is a key member in the production team, being able to machine furniture components to a high standard in many different hardwoods and board material. You will be responsible for material selection and conversion to components of raw materials and will be required to maintain the machinery and mill to the highest standards whilst doing so.
You will be expected to be comfortable in communicating ideas to colleagues. You will need to be committed to achieving production targets that may involve additional work outside of normal working hours and be willing to assist in any area to meet the company’s commitments.
You will take a great deal of personal pride in your abilities keep excellent time, maintaining high standards of both safety, and appearance, whilst conducting yourself in a professional manner.
The company is committed to the development of its staff and you will be expected to actively engage in any training and development.
Standard working week 37.5 hours
Basic salary commensurate with experience, but in a range from £22,000 to £24,500
28 days annual leave (inclusive 8 statutory days)
